Casey Ann Irwin

Pastor

Casey serves as Pastor, passionately leading and teaching
God's call to make disciples of Jesus Christ. She loves to connect
with individuals and families, building life-giving relationships
across our congregation and communities, and hopes to
equip others to do the same.
Casey is an ordained elder in the United Methodist Church, and
a 2015 graduate of United Theological Seminary in Dayton, OH.
Though she and her husband, Blake, originally hailed from TN,
7 years and 2 kids have made Ohio feel like home. In her downtime,
she enjoys hiking, biking, or simply walking with her family,
baking cakes and cookies, and reading a wide variety of books
with one of their two cats on her lap.
Casey joined us in December 2015, after serving as Pastor of
Alger 1st UMC (2011-2014), and Associate Pastor of Grace
UMC in Perrysburg (2014-2015). She has also worked in a
variety of community and poverty initiatives in her previous
locations, living into God's call of loving and supporting
community with all of our neighbors.

Nola Heilman

Music Minister

I am a beloved child of God who enjoys playing the piano and helping people connect with God through music.  My husband Howard and I enjoy traveling, especially to discover lighthouses.  My favorite Scripture:  "And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age."  (Matthew 28:20b)  How wonderful to know that God is with us always!

Mark Chambers

Worship Leader

Mark was raised in rural Arlington, Ohio, where life revolved around faith, family, and football (not always in that order).  Growing up in a musical family there was hardly a time when someone wasn’t practicing piano, playing a band instrument, picking out the harmony line to someone’s melody, or performing in a school, church, or other music ministry concert.  He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Christian Ministries with a minor in Church Music from Anderson University in Anderson, Indiana, and his Masters of Divinity degree from Winebrenner Theological Seminary in Findlay, Ohio.  Before accepting the position of Minister of Worship and Music at our church, he served as pastor and worship leader of Shawnee Church of God for 14 years.  An ordained pastor with the Churches of God, General Conference, this isn’t the first time Mark has been “on loan” with a United Methodist congregation.  Before arriving at Shawnee Church of God he served as youth pastor and then senior pastor at Good Shepherd United Methodist Church in Benton Ridge, Ohio.  He and his lovely wife Jennie have two sons, Micah and Zach.  When not behind the guitar at church, Mark can be found behind the sales counter at Layman’s Feed and Lawn in Elida, or behind a strong cup of coffee.

Colossians 3:17 holds special meaning to Mark, “Whatever you do, whether in word or in deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.”  Mark says, “This verse is a reminder that worship doesn’t have a beginning and ending at a select time on a Sunday morning.  Worship encompasses the entirety of our lives.  As a beloved child of God, my calling is to worship the Lord and to help others worship the Lord not just on Sunday morning, but 24/7/365 on to eternity.”

Courtney Raines

Children's Director

My name is Courtney Raines and I'm so excited to be the new Children's Ministry Director here at Cridersville United Methodist Church. I'm excited to be taking on this new role. I've always had a love for children and currently teach preschool full time as well. My faith is very important to me and I'm happy that I get to share it with our youngest members of our church. My favorite part about working in children's ministry is watching our kids grow deeper in their faith and seeking God in new ways. As Children's Ministry Director my prayer is that our kids would experience God in new and exciting ways through music, interactive Bible stories, games, and art.

Jeff & Mel Reichelderfer

Youth Leaders

Jeff and Melanie Reichelderfer have been the Youth Leaders here at Cridersville UMC over 12 years. They know that being here and having the opportunity to work with teens has all been part of God’s awesome plan!!! During their free time they love to be outdoors with the boys…camping, bike rides and going to Red’s Games! Jeff is also a full time Firefighter and Paramedic with American Township Fire Department.
Bringing Jesus to Teens…and helping them to grow in understanding of who God is and taking that into the world…is what they base this ministry on!
